My journey as a sports card / memorabilia collector began when I was seven years old.  Back then it was baseball and football cards, with the occasional autoraph thrown in... but I spent most of the 1980's collecting cards and building sets.
In the early 1990's my collection started to evolve more towards autographs and that became more of a passion through the 1990's.  I started to send out requests through the mail and was fortunate to get some fantastic responses.
My foray into graphic design began in 2010 by accident.  I am an avid autograph collector, and I was getting ready to attend the Chicago Cubs Convention.  I didn't have anything for the players to sign, so I created a couple custom card designs.  The players loved them.  Randy Hundley said, "This is so cool... you get bored signing the cards and balls all the time."  That's all I needed to hear.  Soon after, I started to send off custom designs via the mail to build my collection.  You can see examples of my designs on the "Custom Card Designs" section of this site.
During this time, I met Desmond Clark, who at that time was a tight end for the Chicago Bears.  Mr. Clark loved one of my designs and asked me to create a design for his charity, the 88 Wayz Foundation.  Soon after, I was designing logos for indoor football teams, such as the Illinois Hawks and Windy City Hitmen (neither of which ever played a game).  But those contacts have led me into doing graphic design work for the Chicago Blitz of the AIF,  as well as designing & maintaining their website.  I also have designed the helmet stickers and logos for the Michigan City Lions of the MPFL.  For 2017, I designed the website for the Illinois Knights of the MPIF.  I have also done some work for the Iowa Barnstormers of the IFL.
In 2014, I began labeling some of my work with the logo, "Gemini Cards", looking for a way to give my creations a brand.  In 2016, I morphed that into "Gemini Graphics" to more truly represent my graphic work.
This site is devoted more toward the personal / hobby end of my creating.  If you are interested in seeing some of my professional work, please check out my other website here.
